I'm not going to lie. I have always been a Leica fanboy but had never been able to afford such luxuries. Over the last couple of years, I had been making plans to acquire the system. And I went backwards.
Since I wasn't able to afford the body and the series of lenses in one shot, I decided to invest in the lenses first. I've been using them with the Sony Alpha system since last year, and it had worked really well.
Understated
Out of the box
Safe in hand
Instead of feeling that I was done, I felt the opposite. I felt that something was missing. Those lenses were gorgeous and I felt that I was doing them a disservice. They deserved their rightful camera body.
So, I have been saving funds. And I as determined to get it as my birthday present for this year.
It wouldn't be my first Leica body as I also own the Leica X. I was almost siderailed by the Leica Q. I would've considered it if it was available. So, I went for the M-P, a more discreet version of the Leica M.
The window. Smudged.

Cranker?
In the next few weeks, I will be using this new beast, trying to take and understand its working. It had not been easy but I have since mastered some of the features. Focusing had been easy since. But getting the tone during post was still hit and miss. I certainly could do with a bit more practice. Expecting heavy use of it during the Raya period.
